Ingredients

  • 100 G Fresh Green Peas 100g
  • 400G Daucy Potatoes 400G
  • Single Capsicum/Green Pepper (Single)
  • 190G Natco Garlic & Ginger Paste, 190G
  • 100G Rajah Spices Ground Paprika Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil some water and cook 3-4 potatoes and 100g of green peas until they are soft. Once cooked, mash them thoroughly and set aside.
  2. 2. In a pan, heat a few cubes of butter over medium heat.
  3. 3. Add 1 finely chopped onion, 1 chopped capsicum, and 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste to the pan. Sauté until the onions become translucent.
  4. 4. Add tomato sauce, a pinch of salt, and a teaspoon of ground paprika powder. Cook until the sauce starts blending with the onions.
  5. 5. Mix in the pav bhaji masala (about 2 tablespoons) and sauté for another 2 minutes to release the flavors.
  6. 6. Add the mashed potatoes and peas to the pan. Mix everything well, adding a little water if needed, to achieve a thick consistency. Cook for another 5-10 minutes.
  7. 7. Taste and adjust salt as needed. Squeeze the juice of a lime over the bhaji and give it a final mix before turning off the heat.
  8. 8. Heat another pan and melt a cube of butter. Toast the buns in the butter until they are golden-brown.
  9. 9. Serve the hot pav bhaji with the toasted buns, a cube of butter, and garnish with chopped onions, lime wedges, and fresh coriander, if desired.
