Ingredients
- 100 G Natco Ajwain Carom Seeds 100g
- 100G Chaat Masala Mangal, 100G
- 600G Ginni'S Roasted And Salted Cashew Nuts 600g
- 100 G Trs Amchoor Dried Mango Powder
- - Marnoto Hand Harvest Fine Sea Salt
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine 250g of cashew nuts with 1 cup of plain flour, 1 tsp of fine sea salt, 1 tsp of baking powder, and 1 tsp of bicarbonate of soda. Gradually add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, to form a thick paste that evenly coats the cashew nuts. Ensure the mixture adheres well to the nuts.
- 2. Add 1 1/2 tsp of dried mango powder, 1 tsp of carom seeds, 1 chopped green pepper, and 1 tbsp of chaat masala to the coated cashew nuts. Mix thoroughly to ensure the spices and green pepper are evenly distributed throughout the coating.
- 3. Heat cooking oil in a deep pan or wok over medium heat until it reaches a temperature of approximately 170-180°C (340-360°F). Use a thermometer to monitor the oil temperature for consistent frying.
- 4. Carefully drop the coated cashew nuts into the hot oil in small batches, ensuring they do not overcrowd the pan. Fry them for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn golden brown and crisp.
- 5. Remove the fried cashew nuts using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 6. Allow the Masala Kaju to cool completely before transferring them to an airtight container. Store at room temperature and enjoy your homemade snack!
