- 60G Toasted White Sesame Seeds, 60G
- 200 Ml Escuminac Organic Extra Rare Light Maple Syrup, 200Ml
- - Whole Earth Smooth Peanut Butter
- 308G Roasted Sunflower Seeds, 308G
- 1 Kg Tate & Lyle Granulated Sugar
- - Wilton Wholefoods Cardamom Powder 10g
- - Mccormick Cumin Powder
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread 1 lb of sesame seeds evenly on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
- 2. In a medium saucepan, combine 8 oz of maple syrup, 3 tbsp of peanut butter, 3 tbsp of sugar, 1/4 tsp of cumin powder, and 1 tsp of ground cardamom. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture begins to bubble gently.
- 3. Stir the toasted sesame seeds and 1 1/2 cups of sunflower seeds into the bubbling syrup mixture, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
- 4. Grease a 9 x 14-inch pan with a small amount of oil. Pour the sesame and sunflower seed mixture into the pan and spread it out evenly using a spatula.
- 5. Allow the mixture to cool completely at room temperature until it sets firmly, about 1 hour.
- 6. Once set, cut the mixture into diamond-shaped pieces and serve as a sweet and nutty dessert.
