Ingredients
- - Cofresh Whole Green Chilli 350g
- - Rajah Jeera Whole Cumin Seeds
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- - Shana Shredded Coconut
- - Natco Black Mustard Seeds
- 500 G Natco Plain Toor Dal
- 500 G Ktc Pure Butter Ghee
- 50 G Vandevi Asafoetida 50g
- NaN Tilda Long Grain Rice
- 15G Fresh Curry Leaves - Approx 15G
- 200G Top-Op Tamarind 200g
- 100G Fresh Green Chillies - 100G
- - Chilli Powder Rajah
- - Sapna Ginger Garlic Paste 1kg
- 400 G Trs Coriander Powder
- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
- 100 G Saras Turmeric Haldi Powder
Instructions
- 1. Wash and soak the Natco Plain Toor Dal in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of Ktc Pure Butter Ghee in a large pan over medium heat.
- 3. Add 1 teaspoon of Rajah Jeera Whole Cumin Seeds and 1 teaspoon of Natco Black Mustard Seeds to the pan. Allow them to sizzle and release their aroma.
- 4. Add 1 finely chopped Fresh Onion from the Fresh Onion Pack to the pan and sauté until golden brown.
- 5. Stir in 1 tablespoon of Sapna Ginger Garlic Paste and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- 6. Add 1 teaspoon of Saras Turmeric Haldi Powder, 1 teaspoon of Chilli Powder Rajah, and 1 teaspoon of Trs Coriander Powder. Mix well to combine.
- 7. Add 2 finely chopped Cofresh Whole Green Chillies and sauté for 1 minute to infuse the spice.
- 8. Add the soaked Natco Plain Toor Dal to the pan along with 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the dal is tender.
- 9. Stir in 2 tablespoons of Shana Shredded Coconut and a pinch of Vandevi Asafoetida. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- 10. Season the dal with Top-Op Table Salt Drums to taste and garnish with freshly chopped Fresh Asian Coriander Bunch.
- 11. Serve the Goan Thali with steamed rice or traditional bread (Goan poi, if available) for an authentic experience.
