- 1 Kg Trs Chana Dal
- - Frozen Shana Green Chilli 300g
- 120G Alpenzu Clarified Butter, 120G
- 100G East End Cumin Whole Seeds
- 450G Good Phats Organic British Grass-Fed Ghee
- NaN Jalpur Green Cardamoms Whole
- - Natco Kala Namak Indian Black Salt
- 100 G Saras Turmeric Haldi Powder
- - Sapna Ginger Garlic Paste 1kg
- - Schwartz Bay Leaves
- 100G East End Garam Masala Powder
- 200G Top-Op Cinnamon Sticks Taj 200g
- 200G Alfa Green Raisins 200g
Instructions
- 1. Rinse 1 cup of chana dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- 2. Drain the dal and cook it in 3 cups of water with a pinch of turmeric powder until soft.
- 3. In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of clarified butter.
- 4. Add 1 bay leaf, 1-2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon, 3-4 teaspoons of garam masala powder, and 1 teaspoon of cumin whole seeds. Sauté until fragrant.
- 5. Stir in 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste and 1 chopped green chilli. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- 6. Toss in 1-2 broken black cardamoms and a pinch of black salt.
- 7. Pour the cooked dal into the pan and mix well. Add more water if needed to reach your desired consistency.
- 8. Adjust seasoning with garam masala powder and more black salt to taste.
- 9. Garnish with freshly grated desiccated coconut and chopped coriander leaves before serving.
