  • 1 Kg Trs Chana Dal
  • - Frozen Shana Green Chilli 300g
  • 120G Alpenzu Clarified Butter, 120G
  • 100G East End Cumin Whole Seeds
  • 450G Good Phats Organic British Grass-Fed Ghee
  • NaN Jalpur Green Cardamoms Whole
  • - Natco Kala Namak Indian Black Salt
  • 100 G Saras Turmeric Haldi Powder
  • - Sapna Ginger Garlic Paste 1kg
  • - Schwartz Bay Leaves
  • 100G East End Garam Masala Powder
  • 200G Top-Op Cinnamon Sticks Taj 200g

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse 1 cup of chana dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Drain the dal and cook it in 3 cups of water with a pinch of turmeric powder until soft.
  3. 3. In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of clarified butter.
  4. 4. Add 1 bay leaf, 1-2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon, 3-4 teaspoons of garam masala powder, and 1 teaspoon of cumin whole seeds. Sauté until fragrant.
  5. 5. Stir in 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste and 1 chopped green chilli. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6. Toss in 1-2 broken black cardamoms and a pinch of black salt.
  7. 7. Pour the cooked dal into the pan and mix well. Add more water if needed to reach your desired consistency.
  8. 8. Adjust seasoning with garam masala powder and more black salt to taste.
  9. 9. Garnish with freshly grated desiccated coconut and chopped coriander leaves before serving.
