  • 450G Rose Rice Flour, 450G
  • - Whole Foods Market Organic Cardamom Powder
  • 1 Kg White Granulated Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Grease a tray or plate with ghee and keep it ready for setting the halwa.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix 250g of rose rice flour with 500ml of water until smooth, ensuring no lumps remain.
  3. 3. In a large pan, add 1kg of sugar and 1L of water, and stir over low heat until the sugar dissolves completely to form a syrup.
  4. 4. Slowly pour the rose rice flour mixture into the sugar syrup, stirring continuously on medium heat to avoid lumps.
  5. 5. Once the mixture begins to thicken, add 470g of ghee gradually, stirring it evenly into the mixture.
  6. 6. Add a few drops of red food color and 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder, mixing thoroughly until combined.
  7. 7. Squeeze in the juice of one lemon and stir well. The lemon helps prevent crystallization.
