Ingredients
- 1 Kg Bwfo Yellow Split Peas 1kg
- 2.27L / 4 Pints British Whole Milk 2.27L / 4 Pints
- 10 Pack Purely Organic Free Range Mixed Weight Eggs 10 Per Pack
- 200G All Things Butter Unsalted Butter
- - Tropical Sun Evaporated Milk
- - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
Instructions
- 1. Rinse 2 cups of yellow split peas thoroughly and soak them in water for 2 hours.
- 2. Drain the soaked split peas and cook them in 1 cup of milk over low heat until tender, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 3. In a blender, combine the cooked split peas, 1 cup of evaporated milk, 4 eggs, 3 sticks of butter, and 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- 4. Transfer the blended mixture to a non-stick pan and cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- 5. Pour the halwa into a greased dish, spread it evenly, and let it cool to set before serving.
