Ingredients
- - Cofresh Whole Green Chilli 350g
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 500 G Fresh Vine Tomato 500g
- 25G Natco Mint
- 1 Kg Natco Brown Basmati Rice, 1Kg
- 565G Trs Canned Green Jackfruit 565G
- - Sapna Ginger Garlic Paste 1kg
- - Tata Salt
Instructions
- 1. Rinse 2 cups of Natco Brown Basmati Rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil – Organic in a large pot over medium heat.
- 3. Add 2 medium-sized onions (from the Fresh Onion Pack) thinly sliced to the pot. Sauté until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- 4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of Sapna Ginger Garlic Paste and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 5. Add 2 Fresh Vine Tomatoes, finely chopped, to the pot. Cook until the tomatoes break down and form a thick paste.
- 6. Add 1 teaspoon of Saras Turmeric Haldi Powder and mix well.
- 7. Add 2-3 Cofresh Whole Green Chillies, slit lengthwise, to the pot for heat. Adjust the quantity based on your spice preference.
- 8. Drain and rinse the Trs Canned Green Jackfruit. Shred the jackfruit into smaller pieces using your hands or a fork, then add it to the pot. Stir well to coat the jackfruit with the spices.
- 9. Add 1 teaspoon of Schwartz Coriander Leaf Jar and 1 teaspoon of Natco Mint to the pot. Mix thoroughly to combine the flavors.
- 10. Add 3 cups of water to the pot and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add the soaked and drained Natco Brown Basmati Rice. Stir gently to combine.
- 11. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, and let the rice cook for 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is fully absorbed.
- 12. Once cooked, turn off the heat and let the biryani rest for 5-10 minutes. Fluff the rice gently with a fork.
- 13. Garnish the biryani with additional Schwartz Coriander Leaf Jar and Natco Mint, if desired, before serving.
