Ingredients
- - Jalpur Sago Seeds Medium
- - Holland & Barrett Jumbo Blanched Peanuts 200g
- - Cofresh Whole Green Chilli 350g
- - Rajah Jeera Whole Cumin Seeds
- 1 Bunch Coriander - Bunch
- 400G Koko Dairy Free Plain Yogurt Alternative
- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
- 1.5 Kg Best In Plain Flour 1.5 Kg
- 1 L Ktc Sunflower Oil
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the Jalpur Sago Seeds Medium thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak them in enough water for 4-6 hours or until they become soft and translucent.
- 2. While the sago seeds are soaking, dry roast the Holland & Barrett Jumbo Blanched Peanuts in a pan until golden and aromatic. Let them cool, then grind them coarsely using a food processor or mortar and pestle.
- 3. Finely chop the Cofresh Whole Green Chilli and the Coriander - Bunch. Set them aside for later use.
- 4. In a mixing bowl, combine the soaked sago seeds, coarsely ground peanuts, finely chopped green chillies, chopped coriander, Rajah Jeera Whole Cumin Seeds, and Top-Op Table Salt Drums. Mix well to form a uniform dough-like consistency.
- 5. Gradually add Best in Plain Flour to the mixture to bind the ingredients together. Knead gently until the dough is firm but pliable. If the dough feels too sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
- 6. Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a ball. Flatten each ball gently to form puris (small discs). Ensure they are evenly shaped and not too thick.
- 7. Heat Ktc Sunflower Oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully slide the puris into the oil one at a time. Fry them until they puff up and turn golden brown on both sides.
- 8. Remove the fried puris using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 9. Serve the Sabudana Puris hot with your choice of chutney or yogurt dip for a delicious snack.
