About this recipe

Ingredients

  • 450 G English Cucumber 450-550g
  • 50G Pepper Black Ground BWFO
  • - Sunita Lemon Juice Organic
  • - Tata Salt
  • - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
  • - Mccormick Cumin Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Peel the cucumbers and slice them thinly using a sharp knife or mandoline.
  2. 2. Sprinkle the cucumber slices evenly with 1 tablespoon of salt and let them sit in a bowl for at least an hour or overnight. Place a plate on top of the cucumbers and weigh it down with a heavy object to press out excess moisture.
  3. 3. After the resting period, drain the cucumbers and rinse them thoroughly under cold water to remove excess salt.
  4. 4. In a separate bowl, mix 1/3 cup lemon juice, 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and a pinch of cumin powder to create the dressing.
  5. 5. Pour the prepared dressing over the drained cucumbers and toss gently to coat all slices evenly.
  6. 6. Let the cucumbers marinate in the dressing for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. 7. Serve chilled as a refreshing side dish for dinner.
