Ingredients
- - Thomas Ridley Fresh British Beef Mince
- 500G White Pearl Italian Pudding Rice 500g
- 92G Bart Hot Curry Powder
- 500 G Brown & Polson Cornflour
Instructions
- 1. In a large pot, brown 2 lb of ground beef over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- 2. Add 4 tbsp of curry powder to the browned beef and stir well to coat the meat evenly.
- 3. Pour enough water into the pot to cover the beef, then bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed to maintain a saucy consistency.
- 4. In a small bowl, mix 3 tbsp of cornstarch with a few tablespoons of cold water to create a slurry. Stir this into the simmering beef mixture to thicken the sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- 5. While the beef is simmering, prepare 2 cups of rice according to the package instructions. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork.
- 6. Serve the curried beef over the prepared rice, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
