Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
  • - Knorr Beef Stock Cubes
  • - Beef Topside Steak (1 Kg) Thin
  • 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
  • 400 G Natco Chick Peas Canned 400g
  • 150G Seasoning For Sour Soup With Beef, 150G
  • 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the ingredients: Thinly slice the beef topside steak into bite-sized pieces. Dice the onion, chop the Natoora Dunkirk Sandy Carrots into small pieces, and dice the green pepper. Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas. Set all ingredients aside.
  2. 2. Heat a large saucepan or skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced beef topside steak and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and no longer pink. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  3. 3. In the same pan, add the diced onion, chopped Natoora Dunkirk Sandy Carrots, and diced green pepper. Cook over medium heat for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened but still slightly crisp.
  4. 4. Return the cooked beef to the pan with the vegetables. Add a pinch of salt and the Seasoning For Sour Soup With Beef, 150G. Stir well to evenly coat the beef and vegetables with the seasonings.
  5. 5. Crumble the beef stock cubes into the pan. Add 2 cups of water and stir until the stock cubes are fully dissolved. Add the drained and rinsed chickpeas to the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. 6. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Adjust the seasoning with additional salt or Seasoning For Sour Soup With Beef, 150G to taste, if needed.
  7. 7. Once the mixture has simmered and the flavors have melded together, remove the pan from the heat. Serve hot and garnish with additional fresh basil leaves, if desired.
