Instructions
- 1. Cut 900 g venison into 1-inch cubes and season with salt and pepper.
- 2. Place the seasoned venison in a large resealable bag and refrigerate to marinate for 2 hours.
- 3. In a large pot, brown the marinated venison over medium heat. Remove the meat and drain off excess fat.
- 4. Add 1 diced onion, 1/2 diced bell pepper, and 2 minced garlic cloves to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- 5. Return the browned meat to the pot and add 1 can (400 g) tomato sauce, 1 can (400 g) roasted chopped tomatoes, and enough water to cover the meat. Stir in 2 tbsp steak sauce.
- 6. Cover the pot and simmer on low heat for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- 7. Season the stew to taste with additional salt and pepper. Stir in 1/2 tbsp frozen chopped parsley 30 minutes before serving.
- 8. Serve the stew hot, sprinkling additional frozen chopped parsley on top if desired.
