Ingredients

  • 2.27L / 4 Pints British Whole Milk 2.27L / 4 Pints
  • 6 Each Golden Yolk Eggs 6 Pack
  • 200G Yeo Valley Organic Salted Butter
  • 1 Kg White Granulated Sugar
  • 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
  • 1.5 Kg Best In Plain Flour 1.5 Kg
  • 170G Dr. Oetker Baking Powder 170g

Instructions

  1. 1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk and melted organic salted butter, whisking until well combined. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until you have a smooth, thick batter. Avoid overmixing.
  2. 2. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it with a small amount of organic salted butter.
  3. 3. Using a tablespoon or small ladle, drop about 2 tablespoons of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. The batter should spread into small circles (approximately 3–4 inches in diameter).
  4. 4. Cook for about 1–2 minutes, or until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look set. Flip and cook the other side for another 1–2 minutes, until golden brown.
  5. 5. Transfer the pancakes to a plate and cover with a clean towel to keep warm while you cook the rest. Serve warm with butter, jam, honey, or syrup. For a more traditional touch, enjoy them with clotted cream or a dusting of powdered sugar.
