- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
- 450G Rose Rice Flour, 450G
- 170G Dr. Oetker Baking Powder 170g
- 420G Kingsford Corn Starch, 420G
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the batter by mixing 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of rice flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1 cup of cold water in a large bowl until smooth.
- 2. Cut 200g of firm tofu into 1-inch thick slices and pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- 3. Heat cooking oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 180°C (350°F). Use enough oil to fully submerge the tofu pieces.
- 4. Dip each tofu slice into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated, then gently place it into the hot oil.
- 5. Fry the tofu slices for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- 6. Remove the fried tofu slices with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 7. Prepare the dipping sauce by mixing 2 tbsp of dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp of rice vinegar, 1 tsp of sesame oil, 1 tsp of sugar, and 1/2 tsp of minced garlic in a small bowl.
