- 500 Ml Hd Rice Vinegar, 500Ml
- 160 Ml Cj Bibigo Sesame Oil
- - Ginger - 100g
- - Greenfields Black Peppercorns
- - Schwartz Sesame Seeds
- 1 Bunch Spring Onions 1 Bunch
- - Yutaka White Miso Paste
- - Light Soy Sauce
- - Ktc Minced Garlic Paste
- 110G Gourmet Kitchen Himalayan Pink Salt Grinder
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) or 400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- 2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the miso paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic until smooth and well combined.
- 3. Place the chicken thighs on the prepared baking tray, skin-side up. Season both sides lightly with salt and black pepper.
- 4. Brush the miso-honey glaze generously over the top of each chicken thigh, ensuring an even coating.
- 5. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, basting with extra glaze halfway through cooking, until the chicken is golden brown and caramelized. The internal temperature should reach 75°C (165°F) when checked with a meat thermometer.
- 6. Meanwhile, prepare an optional garnish. Toast sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until golden and fragrant. Set aside.
- 7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped spring onions before serving.
- 8. Serve the miso-honey glazed chicken with steamed jasmine rice and roasted vegetables or a fresh green salad for a complete dinner.
