Ingredients
- - Natco Lotus Roots
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- NaN Filippo Berio Classico Pure Olive Oil
- 100G Kala Namak - Indian Black Salt, 100G
- 100G Rajah Spices Ground Paprika Powder
Instructions
- 1. Wash the Natco Lotus Roots thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or impurities. Peel the skin and slice the lotus roots into thin, even chips.
- 2. Wash the green peppers and dice them into small pieces. Set aside for later use.
- 3. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) or prepare a deep frying pan with enough Olive Oil – Organic to submerge the lotus root chips.
- 4. If baking, lightly coat the sliced lotus roots with Olive Oil – Organic and spread them evenly on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle a pinch of Kala Namak - Indian Black Salt over the chips for seasoning.
- 5. Bake the lotus root chips in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy. Alternatively, if frying, heat the Olive Oil – Organic in the pan and fry the lotus root slices in small batches until crispy and golden. Remove and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- 6. In a separate pan, heat a small amount of Olive Oil – Organic and sauté the diced green peppers until they are slightly softened and fragrant. Sprinkle a pinch of Kala Namak - Indian Black Salt for added flavor.
- 7. Serve the crispy lotus root chips alongside the sautéed green peppers as a flavorful and healthy snack or side dish. Optionally, sprinkle additional Kala Namak - Indian Black Salt over the dish for extra seasoning.
