Ingredients

  • - Chives Bunched (50g)
  • 450 G English Cucumber 450-550g
  • - Schwartz Sesame Seeds
  • - Korean Red Pepper Powder - Gochugaru
  • 150 Ml Saitaku Japanese Rice Vinegar
  • - Amoy Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 Kg Tate & Lyle Granulated Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash the English cucumber thoroughly and slice it into thin rounds or half-moons, depending on your preference. Place the sliced cucumber in a large mixing bowl.
  2. 2. Finely chop the chives and set them aside for garnish.
  3. 3. In a small bowl, prepare the dressing by combining 2 tablespoons of Amoy Dark Soy Sauce, 1 tablespoon of Cj Bibigo Sesame Oil, 1 teaspoon of Tate & Lyle Granulated Sugar, and 1 tablespoon of Schwartz Sesame Seeds. Mix well until the sugar dissolves and the ingredients are fully combined.
  4. 4. Pour the dressing over the sliced cucumbers in the mixing bowl. Toss gently to ensure the cucumbers are evenly coated with the dressing.
  5. 5. Transfer the dressed cucumber salad to a serving plate or bowl.
  6. 6. Garnish the salad with the chopped chives and an additional sprinkle of Schwartz Sesame Seeds for extra flavor and presentation.
  7. 7. Serve immediately as a refreshing side dish or chill in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes before serving for a cooler, more marinated flavor.
