Ingredients
- 2.46 Kg Typically Packington Free Range Large Chicken
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- 150 Ml Kikkoman Less Salt Soy Sauce Dispenser, 150Ml
- 150 Ml Saitaku Teriyaki Sauce
- - Schwartz Garlic Powder 480g
- 50 g Dry Ginger | Sukku | Sonth | Chukku | Sonti | Onashunti Powder 50G
- - Tropical Sun Onion Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a deep microwavable bowl or casserole dish, combine 1 cup water, 1/4 cup soy sauce, and 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce.
- 2. Place 500 g chicken breast side up in the bowl.
- 3. Sprinkle 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped green pepper, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp ginger powder, and 1/4 tsp onion powder evenly over the chicken. Let it marinate for 15 to 30 minutes.
- 4. Turn the chicken breast side down before placing the dish in the microwave.
- 5. Microwave on High for 7 minutes per pound, approximately 35 minutes for 500 g of chicken. Turn the chicken breast side up halfway through the cooking time.
- 6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the bowl. Simmer the remaining liquid in a pan to reduce fat and thicken it into a gravy.
- 7. Serve the chicken hot over steamed rice, drizzling the thickened gravy on top.
