Ingredients
- 50G Picard Chopped Flat Parsley
- 350G Natoora Large New Season Unwaxed Lemons
- - Filippo Berio Garlic Flavoured Olive Oil
- - Mantova Extra Virgin Olive Oil Spray
- 1 Kg Red Onion 1kg
- 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
- 50G Pepper Black Ground BWFO
- - Schwartz Paprika
- 60G Mill & Mortar Organic Salt Of Hearts, 60G
- - Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar
Instructions
- 1. Season the steak substitute with salt and a pinch of black pepper, and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- 2. In a food processor, combine 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, juice of 1 lemon, 1/4 cup garlic flavoured olive oil, 1/2 red onion (chopped), 1 teaspoon paprika, and 2 minced garlic cloves. Blend until a thick red paste forms.
- 3. Add 1/2 cup chopped parsley and a pinch of salt and black pepper to the food processor. Blend again until the mixture becomes a smooth green chimichurri sauce.
- 4. Preheat your grill or broiler to high heat. Brush the steak substitute with 1 tablespoon olive oil on both sides.
- 5. Cook the steak substitute for 2 to 3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Once cooked, remove the steak substitute from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- 6. Slice the steak substitute against the grain into thin strips. Drizzle the chimichurri sauce generously over the steak substitute before serving. Enjoy your meal!
