Ingredients

  • 1 Bunch Spring Onions 1 Bunch
  • - Ginger - 100g
  • 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
  • 70Cl Jameson Crested Triple Distilled Blended Irish Whiskey
  • 150 Ml Kikkoman Soy Sauce - Pouring Pot, 150Ml
  • 500 Ml Sesame Oil 10 Litres

Instructions

  1. 1. Thinly slice 900 g of ginger into strips and place in a large bowl.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, mix 120 ml soy sauce, 2 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp grated ginger root, 1 minced clove of garlic, and 2 tbsp whiskey to create the marinade.
  3. 3. Pour the marinade over the ginger, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  4. 4. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated ginger and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and slightly caramelized.
  5. 5. Slice 1 green onion thinly and use it to garnish the cooked ginger. Serve immediately with your choice of rice or noodles.
