- - Tata Salt
- - Cathedral City Mature Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Head Organic Romaine Lettuce
- 1 Ltr Ktc Sunflower Oil
- - Heinz Tomato Ketchup
- - Hellmann'S Real Mayonnaise 250ml
- - Tropical Sun Onion Powder
- 190G Perello Cocktail Gherkins, 190G
- - Thomas Ridley Fresh British Beef Mince
- 500 G Fresh Vine Tomato 500g
- 100 G East End Garlic Powder
- - Warburtons Sliced Sandwich Rolls
- 1 Kg Red Onion 1kg
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
- 3. Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into oblong patties to fit the length of the sub rolls.
- 4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil. Once hot, cook the beef patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- 5. Place the sub rolls on the prepared baking tray and lightly toast them in the oven for 3-4 minutes until warm and slightly crispy.
- 6. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each beef patty while they are still warm, allowing the cheese to melt.
- 7. Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the toasted sub rolls as desired.
- 8. Assemble the subs by placing the cheesy beef patties on the bottom halves of the rolls. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, red onion rings, and pickles.
- 9. Close the subs with the top halves of the rolls and serve immediately, optionally securing each sub with a toothpick for easier handling.
