  • - Tata Salt
  • - Cathedral City Mature Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Head Organic Romaine Lettuce
  • 1 Ltr Ktc Sunflower Oil
  • - Heinz Tomato Ketchup
  • - Hellmann'S Real Mayonnaise 250ml
  • - Tropical Sun Onion Powder
  • 190G Perello Cocktail Gherkins, 190G
  • - Thomas Ridley Fresh British Beef Mince
  • 500 G Fresh Vine Tomato 500g
  • 100 G East End Garlic Powder
  • - Warburtons Sliced Sandwich Rolls
  • 1 Kg Red Onion 1kg

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
  3. 3. Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into oblong patties to fit the length of the sub rolls.
  4. 4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil. Once hot, cook the beef patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  5. 5. Place the sub rolls on the prepared baking tray and lightly toast them in the oven for 3-4 minutes until warm and slightly crispy.
  6. 6. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each beef patty while they are still warm, allowing the cheese to melt.
  7. 7. Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the toasted sub rolls as desired.
  8. 8. Assemble the subs by placing the cheesy beef patties on the bottom halves of the rolls. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, red onion rings, and pickles.
  9. 9. Close the subs with the top halves of the rolls and serve immediately, optionally securing each sub with a toothpick for easier handling.
