Ingredients
- 500 G Organic Chopped & Roasted Almonds
- 30 Ml Sprig Natural Bourbon Vanilla | 20 Ml Extract | Superior Quality | Chemical-Free | Alcohol-Free | For Gourmet Baking & Desserts
- 250G Stork Block Butter Alternative
- 1 Kg Caputo Pasticceria 00 Cakes & Pastry Flour, 1Kg
- 500G Tate & Lyle Fairtrade Fondant Icing Sugar
- - Maldon Sea Salt
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter alternative and icing sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well to combine.
- 3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the pastry flour and a pinch of sea salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- 4. Fold in the chopped and roasted almonds, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- 5. Take small portions of the dough and roll them into sticks about 3-4 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
- 6. Press a few additional slivered almonds (optional) onto the top of each stick for added texture and flavor.
- 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
- 8. Allow the almond sticks to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
