Ingredients

  • 500 G Organic Chopped & Roasted Almonds
  • 30 Ml Sprig Natural Bourbon Vanilla | 20 Ml Extract | Superior Quality | Chemical-Free | Alcohol-Free | For Gourmet Baking & Desserts
  • 250G Stork Block Butter Alternative
  • 1 Kg Caputo Pasticceria 00 Cakes & Pastry Flour, 1Kg
  • 500G Tate & Lyle Fairtrade Fondant Icing Sugar
  • - Maldon Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter alternative and icing sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well to combine.
  3. 3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the pastry flour and a pinch of sea salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. 4. Fold in the chopped and roasted almonds, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  5. 5. Take small portions of the dough and roll them into sticks about 3-4 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
  6. 6. Press a few additional slivered almonds (optional) onto the top of each stick for added texture and flavor.
  7. 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
  8. 8. Allow the almond sticks to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
