Ingredients
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 1 head Cauliflower
- - Green Peas
- 1 liter Sunflower Oil
- 100 g Garlic
- 20 g Cinnamon
- 100G Biryani Masala (100g)
- 200 g Dahi
- 1Bunch Pudina
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Hing Khoda
- 1 kg Bell Peppers
- 20 g Cardamom Green
- 250 g French Beans
- 100 g Tej Patta
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes, then drain.
- 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a deep pan on medium heat. Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon stick, and hing, and sauté until fragrant.
- 3. Add the cauliflower, green beans, bell peppers, and green peas to the pan. Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt, then sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
- 4. Stir in the yogurt and biryani masala, mixing well to coat the vegetables evenly. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, ensuring the spices are well absorbed.
- 5. Add the drained basmati rice to the pan and gently mix with the vegetables and spices. Pour in just enough water to cover the rice, and bring to a boil.
- 6. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the rice cook for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked and fluffy. Check occasionally to avoid sticking.
- 7. Once cooked, garnish with chopped mint leaves and cilantro. Gently fluff the rice and serve hot.
