Ingredients

  • 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • 250 g Cucumber
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 50 Grms Garam Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash the yellow moong dal thoroughly and cook it in a pot with enough water until soft, approximately 15-20 minutes. Once cooked, mash slightly and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add finely chopped tomato and cook until softened.
  3. 3. Stir in turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Add the cooked dal to the pan and mix well. Season with salt, simmer for 5 minutes, and finish with lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
  4. 4. Slice bell pepper and cucumber into thin strips. Chop the green chili finely and sauté the bell pepper with a pinch of salt for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. 5. Warm the whole wheat rotis on a tawa. Spread a layer of dal mixture on each roti, top with sautéed bell peppers, cucumber slices, and green chili.
  6. 6. Roll the rotis tightly into wraps, ensuring the filling is evenly distributed. Serve fresh with a side of lemon wedges or mint chutney.
