Ingredients

  • 500 Grms Bajra Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 500 g Onion
  • - Tandoori Seasoning 50g
  • 250 ml Olive Oil
  • 100 g Lemon
  • 1 kg Bell Peppers
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • - Green Peas
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the foxtail millet thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter for 30 seconds.
  3. 3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the turmeric powder, tandoori masala, and red chili powder.
  4. 4. Add the chopped tomato and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes. Mix in the bell peppers and green peas, cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. 5. Stir in the soaked millet and cook for 2 minutes to coat it with the spices. Add 2 cups of water and salt, then bring to a boil.
  6. 6. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the millet cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender and all the water is absorbed.
  7. 7. Once cooked, turn off the heat and let it rest covered for 5 minutes. Fluff the millet with a fork.
  8. 8. Mix in the plain yogurt, garam masala, and lemon juice. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  9. 9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve warm as a wholesome breakfast or light meal.
