Ingredients

  • 100 g Oats Jumbo
  • 500 g Suji
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 500 g Onion
  • 250 g Carrot
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 250 ml Olive Oil
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • 50G Green Chilies
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Grind the rolled oats into a fine powder using a blender or food processor, and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. 2. Add semolina and yogurt to the oats, along with 100ml of water, and mix into a smooth batter. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
  3. 3. Stir in the chopped tomato, onion, bell pepper, carrot, green chilies, and coriander leaves. Season the batter with cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and drizzle with a little cooking oil. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread gently into a thick pancake shape.
  5. 5. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes on the other side.
  6. 6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding oil as needed, to make multiple uttapams.
  7. 7. Serve hot with coconut chutney or plain yogurt for a balanced and delicious breakfast.
