- 100G Oleo
- 500 g Rava
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- loose Ginger
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 250 g Carrot
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- - Green Peas
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the split yellow lentils thoroughly and soak them in water for 30 minutes, then drain.
- 2. Dry roast the semolina in a pan over medium heat until lightly golden and aromatic, then set aside.
- 3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan, add mustard seeds, and let them splutter. Add curry leaves, ginger, and green chili, sautéing for 30 seconds.
- 4. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, followed by the tomato, cooking until soft.
- 5. Stir in the carrot, green peas, turmeric powder, and drained lentils, cooking for 5 minutes.
- 6. Gradually add the roasted semolina, stirring continuously to combine, then pour in 500ml hot water in small increments while stirring to avoid lumps.
- 7. Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the semolina is fully cooked and the water is absorbed, about 5-7 minutes.
- 8. Season with salt, stir in lemon juice and coriander leaves, and mix well.
- 9. Serve hot, garnished with extra coriander leaves if desired.
