Ingredients

  • 100 g Oats Jumbo
  • 500g Good Life Raw Peanuts 500 G
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • - Green Peas
  • 250 ml Olive Oil
  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1. Dry roast the rolled oats in a pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until they become slightly aromatic. Remove and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and asafoetida, and let them sizzle for 30 seconds.
  3. 3. Add curry leaves and green chili to the pan. Sauté for 1 minute for enhanced aroma.
  4. 4. Add the chopped tomato, green bell pepper, and green peas. Sprinkle turmeric powder and salt. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  5. 5. Mix the roasted oats into the pan with the vegetables. Stir well to combine. Add a small amount of water, cover with a lid, and let it cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes until the oats are soft and fluffy.
  6. 6. Stir in roasted peanuts for crunch and squeeze lime juice over the upma for a fresh tangy flavor.
