Ingredients
- 200 g Sweetened Condensed Milk
- - Toned Milk
- 1 box Baking Soda
- 160 Ml Rainbow Full Cream Sterilized, Evaporated Milk
- 100 Ml Gowardhan Ghee
- 500 g Wheat Flour / Maida
- 100 g Baking Powder
- 500 g Sugar
- Pcs Saffron
- Loose Cardamom
Instructions
- 1. Gather all ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, 1/4 cup ghee, 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup thandai syrup (Jain-friendly, without nuts), 1/4 cup condensed milk, 1/4 cup evaporated milk, and a few saffron strands.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a small baking dish (6-inch round or square) with ghee.
- 3. In a mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cardamom powder to ensure there are no lumps.
- 4. In another bowl, whisk together the ghee and sugar until light and fluffy. Add milk gradually and mix well.
- 5. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently to form a smooth batter. Avoid overmixing.
- 6. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly using a spatula.
- 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 8. While the cake is baking, prepare the three-milk mixture. In a bowl, combine thandai syrup, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and saffron strands. Mix well until fully combined.
- 9. Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes in the dish.
- 10. Using a skewer or fork, poke holes evenly across the surface of the cake to allow the milk mixture to soak in.
- 11. Slowly pour the prepared three-milk mixture over the cake, ensuring it is evenly distributed and absorbed.
- 12. Let the cake sit for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to fully absorb the milk mixture.
- 13. Before serving, garnish with a sprinkle of cardamom powder or edible rose petals for added flavor and presentation.
- 14. Slice the cake into portions and serve chilled. Enjoy your Jain-friendly Thandai-Infused Three Milk Cake!
