  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 100 g Ajwain
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • - Besan
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • 250 g Carrot
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 50G Green Chilies
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds, and salt. Mix well.
  2. 2. Add chopped onion, tomato, capsicum, grated carrot, green chilies, and coriander leaves to the bowl. Mix to evenly distribute the vegetables.
  3. 3. Gradually add yogurt and mix until a smooth batter forms. Adjust the consistency with a little water if needed; the batter should be pourable but not too runny.
  4. 4. Heat a tawa or non-stick skillet on medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  5. 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the tawa and spread it evenly into a thin pancake using the back of the ladle.
  6. 6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until the edges start to lift and the underside is golden brown. Flip carefully and cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. 7. Repeat the process for the remaining batter, greasing the tawa as needed.
  8. 8. Serve the cheelas hot with mint chutney or yogurt on the side.
