Ingredients
- 200 g Paneer
- 250 G Masur Dal
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 300 g Ginger Paste
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- 200 ml Ghee
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Coriander Powder
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 50G Green Chilies
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the masoor dal thoroughly and cook in a pot with enough water until soft, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee on a tawa or skillet over medium heat. Add the paneer cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- 3. In the same tawa, add the remaining ghee and heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter, then add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- 4. Add the ginger paste and green chilies, and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Stir in the tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil starts to separate.
- 5. Add the cooked lentils to the tawa, mix well, and simmer for 5 minutes. Adjust salt and spices as needed.
- 6. Fold in the paneer cubes and garam masala, and cook for another 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
- 7. Turn off the heat, garnish with fresh coriander and a drizzle of lime juice. Serve hot with parathas or toasted bread.
