Ingredients

  • 200 g Paneer
  • 250 G Masur Dal
  • 500 g Onion
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 300 g Ginger Paste
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 200 ml Ghee
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 50G Green Chilies
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the masoor dal thoroughly and cook in a pot with enough water until soft, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee on a tawa or skillet over medium heat. Add the paneer cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3. In the same tawa, add the remaining ghee and heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter, then add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. 4. Add the ginger paste and green chilies, and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Stir in the tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil starts to separate.
  5. 5. Add the cooked lentils to the tawa, mix well, and simmer for 5 minutes. Adjust salt and spices as needed.
  6. 6. Fold in the paneer cubes and garam masala, and cook for another 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  7. 7. Turn off the heat, garnish with fresh coriander and a drizzle of lime juice. Serve hot with parathas or toasted bread.
