Ingredients
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- - Rice Flour
- 200 g Dahi
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Jeera
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- medium Chilli Green Long
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 4-5 hours or overnight.
- 2. Drain the soaked dal and blend it with yogurt into a smooth batter, adding minimal water if required.
- 3. Transfer the batter to a bowl and mix in rice flour, cumin seeds, green chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, salt, and chopped coriander leaves. Ensure a lump-free consistency.
- 4. Heat a tawa or non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the tawa and spread it evenly into a thin circle using the back of the ladle.
- 6. Cook the dosa for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden and crisp. Flip and cook for another minute if desired.
- 7. Remove from the tawa and repeat with the remaining batter. Serve hot with coconut chutney or mint yogurt dip.
