Ingredients
- 200 g Dahi
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 100 g Tamarind Paste
- 100G Oleo
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Besan
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 50G Green Chilies
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, turmeric powder, salt, and yogurt. Gradually add water to make a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
- 2. Stir in Eno fruit salt just before steaming and mix gently. Pour the batter into a greased steaming plate and steam for 15-20 minutes until cooked through. Let it cool slightly before cutting into squares.
- 3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a tawa or large pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter, followed by curry leaves and green chilies.
- 4. Add the chopped tomatoes and capsicum to the pan. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until softened, then mix in tamarind paste, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- 5. Place the steamed dhokla squares on the tawa and gently coat them with the tangy masala. Allow the dhokla to absorb the flavors for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
- 6. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve warm.
