  • 100 g Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, turmeric powder, salt, and yogurt. Gradually add water to make a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
  2. 2. Stir in Eno fruit salt just before steaming and mix gently. Pour the batter into a greased steaming plate and steam for 15-20 minutes until cooked through. Let it cool slightly before cutting into squares.
  3. 3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a tawa or large pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter, followed by curry leaves and green chilies.
  4. 4. Add the chopped tomatoes and capsicum to the pan. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until softened, then mix in tamarind paste, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Place the steamed dhokla squares on the tawa and gently coat them with the tangy masala. Allow the dhokla to absorb the flavors for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
  6. 6. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve warm.
