- 250g Swad White Aval 250g
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 500 g Sugar
- 100 g Lemon
- 250 g Carrot
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 50G Green Chilies
- - Green Peas
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the flattened rice (poha) under cold water until soft, then drain and set aside for 10 minutes.
- 2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add mustard seeds. Once they crackle, add curry leaves and chopped green chilies.
- 3. Sauté the onions until translucent, then add tomatoes and cook until they soften and release their juices.
- 4. Add green peas and carrots, cooking for 3-4 minutes until tender. Stir in turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, sugar, and salt.
- 5. Gently fold in the softened poha, ensuring it is evenly coated with the spice mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
- 6. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- 7. Serve warm, accompanied by a cup of masala chai or yogurt for a complete breakfast experience.
