Ingredients

- 200 g Roasted Chana Dal
- - Chilli Green 100 G
- 200 g Dahi
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- - Dry Red Chillies
- 50 g Asafoetida Powder
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Urad Dal
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. In a blender, combine grated coconut, roasted chana dal, green chilies, salt, and yogurt. Blend into a smooth paste and set aside in a serving bowl.
- 2. Heat oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
- 3. Add asafoetida, curry leaves, dried red chilies, and split urad dal to the pan. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until aromatic and lightly golden.
- 4. Pour the tempered spice mix over the prepared coconut chutney and mix gently.
- 5. Arrange the pre-cooked idlis in serving bowls and generously drizzle the tangy coconut chutney over them.
