Ingredients

  • 500 g Poha
  • 500 g Onion
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • - Green Peas
  • - Tandoori Seasoning 50g
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 100 g Salt
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Place the flattened rice (poha) in a colander and rinse gently under running water for 1-2 minutes. Allow it to drain thoroughly and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter for a few seconds.
  3. 3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes. Stir in the bell pepper and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the chopped tomato and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Mix in the boiled green peas, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and tandoori masala powder, and cook for 1 minute.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat and stir in the yogurt, mixing well to ensure the spices are evenly coated. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. 6. Add the rinsed poha to the pan, sprinkle salt to taste, and gently mix everything together. Cook for 2-3 minutes, ensuring the poha is heated through and well-coated with the tandoori mixture.
  7. 7. Turn off the heat, drizzle lemon juice over the poha, and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  8. 8. Serve warm and enjoy this aromatic and healthy breakfast.
