- 500 Grms Bajra Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 250 g French Beans
- 250 g Carrot
- 200 g Dahi
- 200 ml Ghee
- - Tandoori Seasoning 50g
- 100 g Lemon
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- - Green Peas
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the millet thoroughly under running water and soak it in water for 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, allowing them to splutter.
- 3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Then, add the tomato and cook until soft and mushy.
- 4. Stir in the tandoori masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- 5. Add the chopped vegetables (carrot, green beans, and green peas) and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender.
- 6. Mix in the soaked millet and cook for another 2 minutes, ensuring the millet is well coated with the spices.
- 7. Add 2 cups of hot water and curd to the pan. Stir well, cover, and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the millet is cooked and fluffy.
- 8. Once cooked, add the remaining ghee, lemon juice, and fresh coriander leaves. Gently fluff the upma with a fork.
- 9. Serve hot with a side of fresh yogurt or coconut chutney for a complete breakfast.
