Ingredients
- 100 g Oats Jumbo
- 500 g Suji
- 200 g Dahi
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 500 g Onion
- 250g Green Chilli
- - Tandoori Seasoning 50g
- 250 ml Olive Oil
- 50 g Black Pepper Powder
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Blend the rolled oats into a fine powder using a blender and transfer to a mixing bowl.
- 2. Add semolina, yogurt, tandoori masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well and let the batter rest for 15 minutes to thicken.
- 3. While the batter rests, chop the tomato, onion, bell pepper, green chili, and coriander leaves. Set aside.
- 4. Heat a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat and lightly grease with 1/2 tbsp of oil.
- 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the skillet and spread gently into a circular shape. Sprinkle chopped vegetables and coriander leaves evenly over the top.
- 6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown. Flip carefully and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
- 7. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet lightly each time.
- 8. Serve the uttapams hot with a side of mint chutney or plain yogurt for dipping.
