Ingredients
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 500 g Onion
- - Tandoori Seasoning 50g
- 200 g Dahi
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the yellow moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 4-6 hours or overnight.
- 2. Drain the soaked dal and blend it into a smooth paste using a blender. Add a little water if required to achieve a thick, pancake-like batter consistency.
- 3. Transfer the batter to a mixing bowl and add finely chopped onion, tomato, green chili, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, tandoori masala, cumin seeds, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin pancake. Cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until the bottom is golden brown.
- 6. Flip the chilla carefully and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes, adding a few drops of oil around the edges if needed.
- 7. Repeat the process with the remaining batter to make more chillas.
- 8. Serve the hot Tandoori Masala Moong Dal Chillas with a side of plain yogurt or green chutney for a complete and flavorful breakfast.
