Ingredients
- 200 g Strawberry
- - Dairy Milk
- - Chocolate - Dark
- 500 g Digestive Biscuits
- 100 g Unsalted Butter
- 500 g Sugar
- 100 g Cornflour
Instructions
- 1. Wash and thinly slice the strawberries. Set aside for layering.
- 2. In a saucepan, heat milk on medium flame. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp of water and cook until thickened to form a custard-like consistency.
- 3. Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals. Mix in the melted chocolate with half of the prepared custard to create a chocolate custard layer.
- 4. Prepare the biscuit base by crushing digestive biscuits into fine crumbs and mixing with melted butter. Press this mixture into the base of serving glasses or ramekins.
- 5. Layer the dessert by first adding a spoonful of strawberry slices, followed by plain custard, chocolate custard, and another layer of strawberries. Repeat until the glass is filled, finishing with a layer of strawberries on top.
- 6. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld and the layers to set.
