About this recipe

This Strawberry Chocolate Dessert is a fusion delight that combines the richness of chocolate with the sweetness of strawberries, infused with a subtle Indian twist. Perfect for family gatherings, this layered dessert is easy to make, visually stunning, and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

  • 200 g Strawberry
  • - Dairy Milk
  • - Chocolate - Dark
  • 500 g Digestive Biscuits
  • 100 g Unsalted Butter
  • 500 g Sugar
  • 100 g Cornflour

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and thinly slice the strawberries. Set aside for layering.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, heat milk on medium flame. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Add cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp of water and cook until thickened to form a custard-like consistency.
  3. 3. Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals. Mix in the melted chocolate with half of the prepared custard to create a chocolate custard layer.
  4. 4. Prepare the biscuit base by crushing digestive biscuits into fine crumbs and mixing with melted butter. Press this mixture into the base of serving glasses or ramekins.
  5. 5. Layer the dessert by first adding a spoonful of strawberry slices, followed by plain custard, chocolate custard, and another layer of strawberries. Repeat until the glass is filled, finishing with a layer of strawberries on top.
  6. 6. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld and the layers to set.
