Ingredients
- 200 g Paneer
- 250 G Masur Dal
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 500 g Onion
- 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
- 200 ml Ghee
- - Dairy Milk
- - Fresh Cream
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- medium Chilli Green Long
- - Coriander Powder
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
Instructions
- 1. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter, then sauté the onion until golden brown.
- 2. Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chilies. Cook for 1-2 minutes until aromatic, then mix in the turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and finely chopped tomatoes.
- 3. Cook the tomatoes until soft and oil separates, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the washed lentils and mix well with the spice base.
- 4. Pour in milk, add salt to taste, and bring to a gentle boil. Lower the heat, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are soft and creamy.
- 5. In a separate pan, heat the remaining 1 tbsp of ghee and lightly sauté the paneer cubes for 2-3 minutes until golden. Add the paneer to the lentil mixture.
- 6. Stir in garam masala and fresh cream. Cover the pan and let the stew simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
