  • 250 G Masur Dal
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 500 g Onion
  • 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
  • 200 ml Ghee
  • - Dairy Milk
  • - Fresh Cream
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter, then sauté the onion until golden brown.
  2. 2. Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chilies. Cook for 1-2 minutes until aromatic, then mix in the turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and finely chopped tomatoes.
  3. 3. Cook the tomatoes until soft and oil separates, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the washed lentils and mix well with the spice base.
  4. 4. Pour in milk, add salt to taste, and bring to a gentle boil. Lower the heat, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are soft and creamy.
  5. 5. In a separate pan, heat the remaining 1 tbsp of ghee and lightly sauté the paneer cubes for 2-3 minutes until golden. Add the paneer to the lentil mixture.
  6. 6. Stir in garam masala and fresh cream. Cover the pan and let the stew simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. 7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
