Ingredients

  • 500 Grms Ragi / Nachni Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
  • - Rice Flour
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 1 box Baking Soda
  • 500 g Onion
  • 250 g Carrot
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100G Oleo
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine ragi flour, rice flour, yogurt, and baking soda. Gradually add water to make a thick, smooth batter. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. 2. Meanwhile, prepare the topping by mixing onion, tomato, capsicum, carrot, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  3. 3. Heat a non-stick pan or skillet on medium heat and lightly grease it with vegetable oil.
  4. 4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thick round (like a pancake). Immediately sprinkle the prepared vegetable mixture evenly over the top.
  5. 5. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  6. 6. Flip the uttapam carefully and cook the other side for another 2 minutes until the vegetables are slightly charred and cooked through.
  7. 7. Repeat the process with the remaining batter and vegetable topping.
  8. 8. Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar for a complete and satisfying breakfast.
