Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Idly/Dosa Batter
  • 500 g Onion
  • 100G Oleo
  • 100 G Lasun Khobra Chutney
  • - Besan
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, fermented dosa batter, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth batter.
  2. 2. Fold in the finely chopped tomato, onion, green chili, and coriander leaves into the batter to distribute the vegetables evenly.
  3. 3. Heat a flat tawa or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with vegetable oil.
  4. 4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the tawa and spread it evenly into a thick circle, similar to a pancake. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
  5. 5. Flip the uttapam gently using a spatula and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through and golden.
  6. 6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the tawa lightly between each uttapam.
