Ingredients
- 200 g Paneer
- - Besan
- 200 g Dahi
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- - Chilli Green 100 G
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 300 g Ginger Paste
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- - Coriander Powder
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and enough water to form a pourable batter. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
- 2. Finely chop tomato, capsicum, and green chilies. Crumble the paneer and mix it with garam masala, coriander powder, chopped cilantro, and ginger paste to prepare the filling.
- 3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and sauté the chopped vegetables for 2-3 minutes. Add the paneer mixture and cook for another 3 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 4. Heat a tawa or flat pan over medium heat and brush with a little oil. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the tawa and spread it into a thin circle.
- 5. Cook the cheela for 2 minutes on one side, then flip it. Place a spoonful of paneer filling on one half of the cheela and fold it over to form a semicircle.
- 6. Press gently and cook for another 2 minutes until golden and crisp. Repeat with the remaining batter and filling.
- 7. Serve the Spiced Paneer Tawa Cheela hot with mint chutney or yogurt on the side.
