- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 500 g Onion
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Cut the idlis into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- 2. Heat oil in a non-stick tawa or skillet over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- 3. Add curry leaves and chopped green chili, sauté for 30 seconds until aromatic.
- 4. Stir in the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- 5. Add the chopped tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, and salt. Cook until the tomato softens and the spices are well combined, about 3-4 minutes.
- 6. Add the idli pieces to the masala mixture and toss gently to coat evenly. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the idlis to absorb the flavors.
- 7. Turn off the heat and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Drizzle lemon juice over the idli bites for a tangy finish.
- 8. Serve warm with coconut chutney or sambar on the side.
