  • 100 g Jeera
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the lentils thoroughly under running water and set them aside. Chop the tomatoes and slit the green chilies.
  2. 2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for 30 seconds, releasing their aroma.
  3. 3. Add the chopped tomatoes and green chilies to the pan. Cook for 5-6 minutes until the tomatoes soften and break down into a paste.
  4. 4. Stir in the ground turmeric, garam masala, red chili powder, and ground coriander. Cook for 1-2 minutes to toast the spices.
  5. 5. Add the chicken pieces to the pan, coating them well with the spice mixture. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken begins to brown.
  6. 6. Add the rinsed lentils and mix everything together. Pour in the coconut milk and enough water to cover the ingredients. Season with salt to taste.
  7. 7. Bring the curry to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are tender and the chicken is cooked through.
  8. 8. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or flatbreads.
