Ingredients
- 525 g Veeba Herby Tomato Pizza & Pasta Sauce
- 1 pc (50 g) On1Y Pepper Grinder
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 1pc Butternut Squash
- 500G Freshos Couscous Semolina
- 100 g Jk Jeera Powder / Cumin Powder
- 45 g On1Y Cinnamon Powder
- 1 kg Akar Powder Salt
- 750 ml Catch Clear Lemon N Lime Flavoured Water
- 1 kg Twf Bread Flour T55 - Specialised Maida
Instructions
- 1. In a slow cooker, whisk together 1 cup tomato sauce, 2 teaspoons ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, and 1/2 cup water. Stir in 1 diced onion.
- 2. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of flour over the spiced mixture in the slow cooker and stir well to combine.
- 3. Scatter 1/2 of a peeled and cubed butternut squash over the top of the mixture. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the squash is tender.
- 4. Ten minutes before serving, prepare 1 cup of couscous according to the package directions. Cook the stew, covered, for an additional 3 minutes until heated through.
- 5. Serve the stew over the couscous.
