- 50 g Parsley Leaves
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 1 piece Brown Onion
- 6 pcs White Eggs
- 250 g Spring Garlic
- - Olive Oil
- 200 g Table Salt
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 52 g Paprika Powder
Instructions
- 1. Chop the brown onion, green chili, spring garlic, and tomatoes into small pieces.
- 2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 3. Add the chopped onion and green chili to the skillet and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
- 4. Stir in the spring garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
- 5. Add the chopped tomatoes to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
- 6. Sprinkle cumin powder, red chili powder, paprika, and salt over the tomato mixture, stirring well to combine.
- 7. Allow the mixture to simmer for 10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- 8. Make small wells in the tomato sauce and crack an egg into each well.
- 9. Cover the skillet and cook until the egg whites are set but yolks are still slightly runny, about 5-7 minutes.
- 10. Sprinkle chopped parsley leaves over the shakshuka before serving hot with warm crusty bread.
