Ingredients
- - Vermicelli
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 250 g French Beans
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Lemon
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- - Green Peas
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
Instructions
- 1. Heat the tawa or a wide pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, allowing them to crackle.
- 2. Stir in the turmeric powder and red chili powder, followed by the chopped tomato. Cook until the tomato softens and releases its juices, about 2-3 minutes.
- 3. Add the chopped green beans, capsicum, green peas, and shredded cabbage. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender but still have a slight crunch.
- 4. Add the vermicelli to the pan, mixing it well with the vegetables. Pour enough water to cover the vermicelli and allow it to cook until the vermicelli is soft and the water is absorbed, approximately 5 minutes.
- 5. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and mix thoroughly. Adjust seasoning to taste, if needed.
- 6. Turn off the heat and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and a squeeze of lemon juice for a fresh and tangy finish.
- 7. Serve hot and enjoy the savory tawa vegetable vermicelli as a healthy breakfast option.
